Apple apologized for iPhone 4 ordering chaos the past and boasted that it and its carrier partners had in use more than 600,000 orders for its novel smartphone.

Temporarily, AT&T inveterate that is has balanced pre-orders through its site and stores.

"We apologize to each one who meet complexity, and expect that they will attempt again or visit an Apple or carrier store once the iPhone 4 is in stock," Apple said in a declaration released Wednesday, referring to the ordering bungles that left many users frustrated and angry.

Apple added that insist for iPhone 4 was "far higher than we predictable," which resulted in "many order and endorsement system malfunctions."

Apple's and AT&T's Web sites basically misshapen under the load, returning mistakes and time-outs when many clients tried to place orders.

By the end of the day, both Apple and AT&T had tired the provisions they'd set sideways for delivery on June 24, the official iPhone 4 launch date.

"It was very trying," said Brian Marshall, a Wall Street analyst with Broad Point AmTech. "I carry on being really irritated with AT&T and its service." Marshall said he had tried 10 or more times Tuesday to order an iPhone 4, all ineffective.
