Apple's iPhone 4 boasts 512MB of system memory, twice the amount in last year's iPhone 3GS and the latest iPad tablet has confirmed. The extra memory will offer the iPhone 4 much stronger multitasking, an Apple hardware expert said today.

Even though Mac stories first reported the story Thursday morning, separately confirmed the Phone 4's extra memory. As said by MacRumors, iPhone developers were told last week of the memory boost at Apple's annual developer’s conference, where CEO Steve Jobs showed the iPhone.

The new model is available on sale for June 24. The first 2 models 2007's original iPhone & 2008's iPhone 3G have 128MB of system memory.
