Salesforce.com has sued Microsoft for patent violation, making a move in response to a logical property suit Redmond filed against the on-demand CRM seller last month. Many Microsoft products, as well as its .NET platform and SharePoint collaboration software, are in infringement of Salesforce.com patents, according to the complaint filed Thursday in U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
For now, Microsoft's prior objection against Salesforce.com claims that the company's inventions violate on 9 of its patents. Salesforce.com brash CEO, Marc Benioff, savaged Microsoft's action all through a latest earnings call, labeling the company an "alley thug" and "patent troll.”But Benioff also believed the argument is "resolvable," and "basically a no-collision state," remarks that Salesforce.com counter-complaint look likes to put in a new light.
