Google has arrived at conformity to purchase ITA Software, a creator of air-travel flight-information software whose clients contain foremost airlines and online travel agencies.
Google to pay US$700 million in cash for the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based software seller, the corporations proclaimed.
Google plans to utilize ITA's software to get better the ways in which people can find flight information online using Google search services, Google said in a declaration.
Travel information searches structure an important piece of Google questions, so the corporation needs to improve its technology in this area, which is ready for novelty, Google and ITA executives said during a media conference.
"Travel is one of the hardest search troubles around, both in terms of how users use to express their questions and in terms of the data and correctness and speed wanted to get people the kinds of consequences they're looking for," said Marissa Mayer, Google's vice president of Search Products & User Experience.
ITA CEO and president supposed the 500-person corporation is concerned in online travel information market from its commencements and looks ahead to leveraging Google's resources to more develop and purify its software.
