Default Microsoft must Refocus and Cut Smartphone Losses

Microsoft is on track to commence the fully reengineered Windows Phone 7 platform afterward this year and look for to recall some of the ignition smartphone market.

But, in the wake up of the terrible breakdown of the Kin, and following on the heels of the commence of the iPhone 4 and grand Android handsets similar to the EVO 4G and Droid X, Microsoft might desire to think again whether this is still a battle worth fighting.

Preferably, Microsoft would have guide the smartphone rebellion from day one. With a leading role in enterprise server operating systems and messaging, and a near control on the desktop operating system and office efficiency software, it appears like it must have been a possible extension of what Microsoft previously offers to expand that similar functionality to a mobile platform like a smartphone.

Though, Microsoft is frequently slow to grasp the wave. Whereas Microsoft was annoying to grasp whether this mobility thing was here to wait, RIM developed the BlackBerry, recognized its bet in the market, and became identical with mobile enterprise messaging and communication.

Following the hesitant efforts of preceding Windows Mobile platforms, Microsoft has gone reverse to the drawing board to expand a totally new mobile OS from scrape quite than annoying to build an incremental upgrade on a wobbly foundation. That is praiseworthy, but it might also be too late.
