The new release version of Oracle's data grid application will gives Microsoft visual studio .NET applications to reach to the same large multi-server environments which was dominated by java enterprise applications, according to oracle.
New version 3.6 of cohesion released this week, Cameron Purdy oracle vice president of development said at conference that this version will support all major business platform. The updated version also features a new query language and an advance set of management tool, among additional features .
A component of the Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g suite called Coherence is software that can build together the active memory from different servers and have them behave as one huge virtual pool of memory, called a data grid, on which huge application can be run.This approach allows administrators to run application that would be huge than any one server could manage .
Cameron Purdy said "We've moved a highly available and highly scalable performance refined Java application model to .NET, where You can now run hundreds of servers. You can keep adding servers and managing more sessions."
