Oracle is estrangement itself from remarks allegedly made by its co-president, Charles Phillips, regarding the quantity of money it means to spend on prospect attainments.

Phillips said Oracle preparations to dedicate an enormous US$70 billion to purchasing up corporations in next five years, as per the report concerning an appearance Phillips made at the Fortune Brainstorm Tech conference in Aspen, Colorado.

"It's early on in game, and there's abundance left to do," Phillips said through appearance, as per the story. But Oracle issued an "explanation" on Friday of Phillips' reported remarks.

"Whilst it is extremely doubtful that we will spend anything approaching $70 billion in five years, we will be opportunistic and, if market situations demand, we will purchase additional corporations that additional our planned goals and address our customers' wants," spokeswoman Karen Tillman said in a declaration.

A recording of Phillips' appearance was not instantly available it was uncertain Friday whether he actually referenced $70 billion figure or five-year time frame.
