Adobe Systems have approved to buy Web software maker Day Software making a deal worth US$240 million, according to company. Day Software, of Basel, Switzerland, dedicate in Web Content Management, Digital Asset Management and Social Collaboration, which Adobe strategy to use to support its venture application contributions, according to them.

"Among the adding of Day software to our venture portfolio, we will be capable to increase the value of our contribution and distribute on our dream of the Web as the hub of customer communication," adobe said Day software will grow to be a product line inside Adobe's Digital Enterprise Solutions Business Unit, and Day's CEO, Erik Hansen, will join Adobe as part of the contract.

Adobe will initiate a tender present for Day's openly held stock shares, an offer that Day's board of directors has already chosen to suggest, according to the announcement. The contract is focus to government sanction before it can be finalized. Adobe expects to shut the contract in the fourth quarter of its 2010 financial year, which is afterward this calendar year.
