Intel and GE will unite health-IT resources to establish a company that center on offer medical care technologies to the old and people with chronic sickness, the companies declared yesterday. Health care deals with a rising defy as citizens live longer and health care costs elevate, said Omar Ishrak, senior vice president of GE and head and CEO of GE Healthcare Systems. Chronic illness, by now a main health care rate, present additional issues, he said.

"Chronic circumstances account for more than 75% of health care expenditure in the U.S.," Ishrak said during declaration. The company will "deal with chronic diseases and age-associated disease," said Ishrak, who will serve as the company's chairman. The two companies are already involved in the healthcare market. GE Healthcare provides guidance and markets medical devices in the fields of oncology and cardiology.
