Kingston Technology Corporation proclaimed the launch of its initial water-cooled DDR3 memory kit for PCs, which it said gives longer-term reliability.
Kingston's new HyperX H2O water-cooled DDR3 line features three creations: two 4GB double-channel kits with 2000MHz and 2133MHz frequencies, correspondingly; and a 6GB triple-channel kit operating at 2000MHz. HyperX H2O memory.
Mark Tekunoff, senior technology manager for Kingston, said water-cooling attribute is attractive for its silence process and reliability. Thermo photography tests performed by Kingston demonstrated that water-cooled DRAM ran constantly 10 degrees to 14 degrees cooler than air-cooled modules, he said.
