Software giant and Salesforce.com have matured the copyright infraction lawsuits the groups filed against each other, in a contract that offer both firms safety under its opponent rights portfolio. Microsoft also said it is being compensated by Salesforce.com "based on the strength of Microsoft's leading patent portfolio in the areas of operating systems, cloud services and customer relationship management software." Though conditions of the contract were not revealed, that judgment in a Microsoft press release appears to specify that Microsoft has received the superior of the contract. The current battle began in May when Microsoft sued Salesforce alleging violation of patents related to application competence. Microsoft claimed Salesforce's cloud-based CRM system violates nine Microsoft patents and demanded monetary compensation. Salesforce then take legal action against Microsoft for patent violation, claiming .Net and SharePoint defy Salesforce.com copyright.
