After the launched of Google wave last year Google may decide to stop social-networking service, the company said Wednesday. "Google Wave has not seen the user acceptances we accepted," said Urs Hölzle, Google senior vice president for operations accordingly of the public unconcern, "We don't plan to carry on developing Wave as a separate product," he said.
The Google will continue the wave through the end of the year, and the technology will be rolled into further Google projects, Hölzle said. Some characteristic are by now accessible as open-source components, and Google will offer tools to let users "simply release their content from Wave," he said. Hölzle disguised that Wave may have been too essential of a conception for mass acceptance, despite the company's many attempt to clarify it to theusers.
A "Web application for real time communication and teamwork, it set a high bar for what was possible in a Web browser," he said. "We weren't pretty certain how users would react to this thoroughly diverse kind of communication."
