Software giant Microsoft stated it will offer a record 14 securities updates within next few days to patch a record tying 34 vulnerabilities in Windows OS, But users still using Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) will be given just a few of those patches. 8 of the 14 updates were critical issues of Microsoft, the uppermost warning position in its four-step scoring system. The remaining six were declared important, the second-highest rating. This Patch will be a record on several fronts.
The 14 updates, Microsoft call them bulletins which is a record, increasing the count from both February 2010 and October 2009 by one. The 34 entity patches equals the single month record, which was initial place last October and frequent in June 2010. And the eight serious updates next week will as well tie the record set in October 2009.
