Microsoft will release a beta edition of Visual Studio, known as Visual Studio LightSwitch, to shorten application development procedure. "The professional development is not the only developers who build business software any longer," said Dave Mendlen, director of platform promotion tools developed by Microsoft. "LightSwitch offer business managers a simple method to generate their own applications."

LightSwitch is miniature edition of Visual Studio, comes with a set of templates with a number of additional business processes, where users can deploy applications to install. "You can create with one of these templates using Visual Basic or C #", he stated. In few situations, users may not require to add a line in the code at all. Applications built with LightSwitch can run on the local machine or on services Microsoft Azure cloud computing, and is accessed by using Microsoft Silverlight browser.

In addition to the template, the application also offer some included utility called Experience. Users also have to recognize the data source for the application; you don’t have to use databases like SQL Server or Microsoft Access, but also a repository SharePoint or Excel, Word.
