Skype SA looking to elevate $100 million during a preliminary public offering (IPO) in the U.S., as the Luxembourg-based supplier of Internet telephony, video calling and instantaneous messaging interactions seeks to expand and increase its user base and income.

In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission yesterday, Skype stated it policy to utilize the wealth it increase from the IPO for common business intention as it follow a plan to raise equally its base of free users and paid subscribers, add to its marketing and publicity profits, and make bigger its services for businesses.

In its SEC filing, company stated that the majority of its income arrive from fees it charge for its Skype Out service, which it also needs to observe grow and which lets users make calls outside of the Skype domain to normal phone lines and mobile phones.
