Shanda Literature, one of China's major web base publishers, disclosed a latest e-reader namely Bambook this week, manage to accessible to a select number of clientele. Shanda Literature which is division of Shanda Interactive Entertainment, start selling its Bambook on yesterday as part of an inside test that will release 3,500 e-readers to customer encourage to buy the product. The e-reader, which has been in progress for a year and half, contains a 6-inch display with an 800 by 600 pixel resolution that can utilize 16 shades of gray. It can use Wi-Fi and 3G connections, and has a 24-day reserve time on one battery charge.
Shanda isn't the first Chinese manufacturer to release its own e-reader. Even though Amazon has thus far to start officially selling its Kindle in China, domestic rivals such as Hanvon Technology and Datang Telecom have previously been manufacture their personal devices. This year market of e-readers is predicted to reach 3.5 million units in China according Analysis International.
