In the future, business gathering might appear like a sight out of the movie, Star Wars, if technology imagine at HP comes to completion. Stars Wars-like 3D projection technology is on the sketch board at the company, with the latent to project business people at a lot of places into virtual reality-like gathering devoid of them having to hop on airplanes and waste major time away from home.
"The whole idea behind how do you plan someone into the room is essentially, you have populace who are dotted around the state but how do you reconstruct them so that they feel like they're piece of the room," stated Phil McKinney, CTO for the Personal Systems Group at HP, at the rising Display Technologies discussion on Thursday in San Jose, Calif. This ability can be finished in a low-resolution format today but HP is thinking next-generation development.
When the movie "Star Wars" came out in 1977, a decisive scene had R2D2, one of hero Luke Skywalker's robot helpers, project a holographic picture of heroine Princess Leia putting out a suffering call. 3D projections like what is eyed by HP would be made likely by progression in RGB (red green blue) lasers, McKinney said.
