Google has purchase company Like.com, which presents a visual search engine for retail products, an agreement intended at improving Google's shopping search capability and services like its Products engine.
The gaining approach years after the first report emerged that Google was curiosity in buying Like.com, which was initially identified as Riya when the firm was established in 2004. Like.com CEO and co-founder publicize the contract on his company's web site. "We see merging with Google as a way to supersize our idea and supercharge our obsession," his stated.
With computer vision and machine learning technology, Like.com offer a visual search engine focused on, clothes, shoes, ornaments and decoration, according to the firm. "We've developed technology that lets us appreciate visually what terms like red high-heeled pumps and floral decorative sleeveless clothing mean and created algorithms to understand whether those pumps complement or clash with that dress," stated a company depiction.
