Intel, Nokia and the University of Oulu in Finland yesterday officially opened the Center for Internet Excellence at the University Oulu as an Intel and Nokia Joint modernization Center. It is the newest associate of Intel Labs Europe and effort for more than 20 researchers and developers.
The new research lab wills effort intimately with the Oulu Urban Living Labs. This recommends an appropriate environment for sensor research and the expansion and testing of technology and socially-relevant innovations. To hurried improvement in the mobile market, Intel will cooperate with Nokia to design new and compelling user scenarios and inspect more narrowly.
This should include the development of surfaces for attractive interface that enable users in an intuitive manner. Another research advance of the new laboratory could exist for example in the development of technologies that let it to generate a 3D hologram of each caller on the exhibit of the mobile device. Basis for the research is the open source program Meego, which is from two companies.
