Apple is apparently in discussion with Fox, CBS, NBC and The Walt Disney Co. to offer 99% TV episode hire through iTunes. It's uncertain if each network would present all their content for hire on iTunes or just choose series. Episodes might be available for rental within 24 hours following their primary airing and expire after 48 hours.

The new contribution might also be incorporated with a revamped, and still supposed, iOS-based Apple TV that might stream content from iTunes, run iOS applications, and would contain a similar intend to the iPhone 4 and be renamed iTV.

With so much television content now accessible online, and hardware like the rumored iTV, not to talk about the forthcoming Google TV on the horizon, it begs the now ancient query is it time to dump your cable source and just watch all your TV content online?
