Google yesterday stated that a late report arrogating it went wrong to patch one-third of the serious bugs in its application had the facts wrong. IBM's X-Force security unit, which discharged the report last week, acknowledged the error and issued a revised chart that shows Google patched all the vulnerabilities rated "critical" or "high" in its online services.

"We interviewed a series of surprising facts pertaining Google's vulnerability rate and response record, and after discourses with IBM, find lot of errors that had crucial significances for the report's conclusions," stated, a security program manager at Google, in an posting on a googles blog. Last week, X-Force's report claimed that 9% of all Google bugs exposed in the first half of 2010 were unpatched, and 33% of the vulnerabilities placed as vital or high had not been patched.
