Intel CEO inaugurated the company's annual IDF conference today by declaring that Intel is on chase to ship a 22-nanometer processor in 2011. The Intel first microprocessor designed for a 22nm build is already proceeding through an Intel fabrication plant, he stated, who committed the first keynote words at the Intel Developer Forum today. He added that 22nm chips are on track to be presented in 2011. While a demo of Google TV, a propose in which Intel is a cooperator, and spoke about the company's forthcoming new chip architecture, code-named Sandy Bridge, much of his keynote concentrated on the company instead of the technology that comes out of it.
"In former years, I've spoke concerning how PC is varying. Today, I'm getting to change my focus to how Intel is varying and whereas we're departing," he said. "At Intel, our imagination is to create a continuum consistence and interoperability among devices." And a lot of that interchange entails that the world's biggest chip company is branched out from its core technique as a chip maker.
