Teenagers are networked excellent. 91 percent of all young people between 14-19 years use the Internet. The few young people who do not use the Internet, have usually no access at home and therefore have to avoid friends or in Internet cafes.

Those young users who have a home Internet access, 99 percent use the Web. The surveys have shown the Bitkom and the ARIS survey research. Increasingly, children of primary school age are online. "More than 70 percent of seven to ten year old use the Internet, provided that the parents have a connection," said Bitkom President Prof. Dr. August-Wilhelm Scheer. "Children and young people, the Web is now an integral part of your environment. It is important to know how to use the Internet age appropriate."
