IBM Lotus Symphony 3 final version released for download. The free office suite based on the code of Openoffice.org. Compared to the previous version many new features and improvements are added, as a glance in the release notes shows. New, for example, support for VBA scripts, ODF 1.2 and Office 2007 OLE.

In addition, the new Office sidebars and a new clip-art gallery has been donated. The number of included templates was increased, and support for live text has been added. Also new is the ability to create business cards. In the word processing of the PDF export has been improved. In the spreadsheet, the number of columns from the current maximum of 256 increased to 1024. The presentation software now supports multiple monitors and it was more animation effects added.
