Intel, the world's largest maker of semiconductors, has unveiled its strategy for computing 'cloud' for 2015 with a commitment to create a network based on more operational, secure and easy, as reported on its website. The tech giant warned that the number of Internet connections will grow from the current 1,500 million to 10,000 million in 5 years, a challenge that will require structures of computer services to find new ways to optimize their resources to avoid saturation networks.
Intel's proposal goes through what they called a federated cloud, enabling companies to share data stored in its internal and external databases, as well as the construction of an automated. Such a system would work mechanically to ensure safe movement of resources and improve energy efficiency in data centers. Intel also anticipates the birth of a tag aware you know what kind of applications, commands and processes should take place in the cloud or directly from the software user devices.
As a first step in this vision of Intel, called Cloud 2015, the company helped create the Alliance of open data centers, a coalition made up of more than 70 companies representing more than 50,000 million annual investment in technology information and conducting research projects in the cloud. This alliance will design the future hardware and software requirements that lead to a more open and operational tag, as well as to solutions for data centers. "The industry has an opportunity to accelerate the potential of cloud computing, offering even better economic conditions for the industry through this transformation," said Kirk Skaugen, vice president and general manager of Intel Data Center Group.
