In October 2010, the respected British magazine Virus Bulletin carried out a series of comparative tests in which they were tested 38 different anti-virus solutions, including the two solutions Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Windows Server Enterprise Edition and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Server. In the test were the detection and neutralization of both known and unknown malware of various types, including viruses and worms and also included in the list Wildlist.org bots, Trojans and polymorphic malware.

In this case the WildList.org collection consisted of a number of well-recorded 14,000 specimens including some malware present fairly common. The anti-virus solutions were then also tested on a selection of files updated "clean", to verify the minimization of false positives. The products "Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Windows Server Enterprise Edition" and "Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Server" have successfully passed all the tests, obtaining both the VB100 award.

Both solutions have demonstrated a detection rate of malware Wildlist of 100%, a high rate of detection of malware and other classes, in both cases there was no false positive. The experts of "Virus Bulletin" were impressed by the efficiency of the interface and performance of security solutions offered by Kaspersky Lab, commenting that "the interface Kaspersky Lab's anti-virus 8.0 for Windows Server Enterprise Edition uses the MMC in an efficient and attractive, making good use of color and providing a full spectrum of controls. Its scanning speed is exceptional. "
