The best thing that had happened to the apparatus of Jobs read i Pad / i Phone / iPod Touch has been the influx of VLC to the App Store a port of the famous multi-platform desktop media player that reads nearly everything that has to go. But not last long, as their days are numbered.

This time it's not Apple's fault but the GPL license which is being distributed VLC in the App Store . This license states that software should be free to copy and distribute but each download and purchase from the App Store is linked to an account resulting in a form of DRM. Simply put, you must be registered with an account to download VLC which makes it incompatible with that and other rules set by the GPL.

the VLC development czar said that Apple would be violating the GPL because the application has been approved DRM still applied to him both free distribution impossible as edited or modified by a third party. And as Apple likes to easy solutions is sure to bring him out of the shop soon. So if you have one of these devices or iTunes on your computer you'd better download this player while you can.
