In 2007, Oracle filed a civil lawsuit against SAP. SAP meanwhile, said U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has requested to SAP and its TomorrowNow subsidiary to provide relevant documents. At that time, SAP said it would cooperate fully with authorities. In a hearing held in August 2010, SAP said, has an ongoing investigation by the DOJ and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) conducted on a number of events and complete scenes related to this issue.
Oracle initially filed 10 complaints against SAP, including copyright infringement, breach fraud statutes and federal computer abuse, breach of contract and unfair competition.
