Novell has launched a beta version of Novell Vibe - collaborative platform for their new society. Previously known under the name Novell Pulse, Vibe collaboration platform focused on business, presence as a cloud based service or as software installed on your computer (on-site). Novell Vibe includes enterprise features (such as editing a document in real time, remember the conversation, create working groups) as well as many social networking tools for instant messaging, chat and wiki.

In collaboration market is developing, Novell Vibe will challenge social networking tools like Facebook, is designed for business users by Jive Software development; set of collaboration tools for enterprise web-based Quad Cisco. The other collaboration software including IBM's Lotus Connections and Microsoft SharePoint. According to analyst Forester Research's Rob Koplowitz, if the enterprise IT managers to consider carefully the Vibe Novell can be very competitive with its rivals. Vibe On Pre packaged software is expected to be available later this year. It is expected cloud version will ship in the first half of 2011.
