Almost a year after it hit Android, Google Goggles, a downloadable image recognition application used for searches based on pictures taken by handheld devices, is finally here for the iPhone as well. It was primarily developed for use on Google's Android operating systems for mobile devices. The new version of Google Mobile App allows you to just tap on the camera button to search using Goggles. Goggles will analyse the image and highlight the objects it recognises. Google makes it clear that it works well for landmarks, logos, book covers, DVDs and games, but doesn't yet work for some things that you might want to try, like animals, plants or food.
