What the end of October as a rumor circulated is, according to a report of the Wall Street Journal now come true: Google has the New York building where his offices are located, for nearly two billion U.S. dollars purchased. That would be the largest U.S. real estate business with a single building this year.
The 15-store building "111 Eighth" occupied with its almost 270 000 square meters commercial space for a whole block between 15th and 16 Street in Manhattan. This makes it the fourth largest property in New York City. About a third of them use telecommunications company, Google currently uses about 50 000 square meters. Previous owner of the building is a group that among other things, the New York State Common Retirement Fund is one. The Fund manages the pensions of more than one million employees of the State of New York with a value of currently around 132 billion U.S. dollars.
