Late on Monday, Mozilla said, most applications store their Web browser will be launched early next year. Google introduced Chrome Shop Web Store Web applications for Web browsers and operating systems of its own, Chrome Systems. Also that day, said Mozilla ecosystem of their Open Web App will be available in quarter 1 / 2011, supports the most popular browser, with a control panel (dashboard) applications to manage the local programs and API (applications programming interface) for developers.
"Web should support the coexistence of many Open Web App store, and allow users to use applications from the store this in a consistent manner," said Pascal Finette, director of the Mozilla Labs wrote in a blog post on the company. "Nowadays, people buy shoes, food, music from other stores on the web, and we see a similar demand for the variety and choice with multiple Open Web App stores."
The idea of Mozilla and Google have some similarities. Both provide web applications are created using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and both would use OpenID to log in users to their applications.
As recommended by Mozilla, the application will run in a web browser (including Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari and Opera) as well as in the mobile browser based on open source WebKit engine.
