Toshiba announced its solid state drive (SSD) for their first business objects, data transfer speed up 510MB/per sec. New SSD line called MKx001GRZB, including 2.5-inch drive types (~ 6.4 cm), using SLC NAND flash chips (single level cell) 32nm, connect SAS (serial-attached SCSI) 6Gbit / second fastest on the market today.

The drives will have a capacity of 100GB, 200GB, 400GB and is being marketed to many manufacturers and storage systems for high-end server business. The company said it will begin to form the new drive for many equipment manufacturers in the quarter 1 / 2011. The production of large quantities expected to start in the first half of 2011. Toshiba said its new line of SSD can reach read speeds up to 90,000 random operation input / output per second (IOPS) and write speeds up to 17,000 random IOPS. The drive sequential read speeds of up to 510MB/ per sec. and sequential write speeds up to 230MB/per sec .
