In a Convergence conference held last Monday in Atlanta, Microsoft proclaimed that it is all set to move its Dynamics Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications of Azure cloud platform. The move represents a major change at the end of the way Microsoft sells Dynamics, which has traditionally been sold by local partners and in an organized manner. From now on, all the Dynamics releases will run on Azure, and the shift will also enable users to move to the cloud at will to believe the words of Microsoft authorities. This shift was anticipated from a bay by the experts and finally Microsoft made the move.
Kirill Tatarino, Corporate vice president of Microsoft Business Solutions confirmed this news past Monday morning while addressing the conference attendees. He specially addressed the existing user share of Dynamics and vendors of the same in the conference by stating that all their moves will be harmonized with the ecosystems. He further continued addressing that they will be shifting the ERP application along with ERP ecosystem into the cloud. All the vendors that are serving and making Dynamics accessible to you will remain in the chain despite shift.
Furthermore, Microsoft is looking to brief its associates on how the shift will benefit to Azure will benefits them. On the one hand, shareholders can sell cloud-enabled vertical applications, services and accessories through this Dynamic market. Microsoft also released a cloud Guide partner profitability for members. Keeping that aside, Microsoft has no alternative but to accept partners for ERP cloud, given the increasing complexity of software and the general need to make for each client. It would also be prudent for Microsoft to simply get discount vendors to one side, considering the kind of business they bring to the business.
The possible addition of a model for the implementation of the Microsoft Azure has raised the program’s complications and has intensified the competition with archrivals NetSuite, which sells a cloud ERP and SAP, which introduced Business ByDesign, an auto demand software suite. The first application launch after the shift will be NAV, which is scheduled to be launched in grand style in 2012 said Tatarinov while addressing the reporters and analysts in the latter half of the conference.
Azure Dynamics deployments incorporate multi-user architecture that is different from traditional apartment wherein a number of clients are enabled with the ability to share it at same instance of the application, and data yet remains confidential. This also enables vendors to supply often updates to customers with ease and offer larger economies of scale that will ultimately help vendors to enhance their profit margin. Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce.com, who’s among the most ardent defenders of cloud computing model, compared the architecture to an office building, where individual offices are bisected while their privacy remains confidential yet they share few common strings, i.e., electrical lines, plumbing, structural support, and other infrastructural components. Cloud computing is the need of the hour, and its significance is likely to rise in future, he continued in his addressing.
