Intel is nowadays checking over thehidden bug that may be the prime reason for the failure of SSD 320solid state drive failure. The company has already started providingreplacement drives to their customers till the issue could be sortedout, according to a customer service executive.

In the Intel forum, the users havealready complained about the SSD 320 drives crashing due to somepower issues. This causes the loss of data. In many cases, thestorage capacity of the drive was left to only 8 MB after the crash.
The spokesman of Intel, Daniel Snydersaid via email, “We are investigating the issue. Any customer withconcerns should call Intel customer support.”

According to an Intel technical supportrepresentative, till the issue gets resolved, the customer care wouldsend a replacement drive to the affected customer. The customersupport contacts are listed already on the website of Intel. Inaddition, the company also offers live chat support to its esteemedcustomers.

The SSD 320 which had been released inMarch is being used widely in PC’s as well as the Mac computers.However, the drive which has proved to be better in this case has acapacity from 40GB and 600GB.

Intel had faced similar issues ofcrashing of SSD in the past. In 2009 it extracted a firmware upgradefor the X25-M consumers. They also sent their users theupgraded SSD as soon as the complains about software crashing drivesemerged.
