Microsoft's Office 365 and SkyDrive were hit by outages on Wednesday, with few clients ordering they missed access to e-mail and other services for up to four hours. Microsoft damned a networking matter and ordered it had commenced to restore services Wednesday afternoon Pacific Time.

At about 11:30 a.m. PDT, Microsoft went aware of a networking matter affecting clients of few Microsoft services hosted out of one of our North American information centers. We functioned to insulate the matter and we are beginning to view service restoration. We continue to inquire the root reason of this matter," said Steven Gerri, general manager, Global Foundation Services for Microsoft.

It wasn't elucidate precisely which services were pretended, but both Office 365 and SkyDrive look to have had matter. "Connectivity matter to a North American datacenter have caused broad customer access troubles to a number of O365 Services. We are presently operating to defeat this matter as soon as potential," Microsoft wrote on its Office 365 web link.


Office 365, Microsoft's answer to Google Docs, is a hosted retinue of services adding e-mail, SharePoint, Office Web Apps and Lync. Office 365 arrive out of beta in late June, as a comply-on to Microsoft's Business Productivity Online Services.
