The GIMP developers have released version 2.5.4 of the popular image manipulation tool, which probably is the last preview version before the big GIMP 2.6.0 release, scheduled for September as we go to press. Changes in GIMP 2.5.4 include: improved look and feel of the navigation dialogue box and navigation popoups; improved positioning of the image in the image window; optimised new scaling code; various fixes to the Python bindings; addition of search entry to the keyboard shortcuts and input controller; and a few other handy add-ons. All this is in addition to the general bug fixes and code clean-up.
