The Linux Foundation has announced the first Linux Foundation End User Collaboration Summit. The inaugural summit will take place between October 13 and 14,2008, in New York and will provide end users a direct connection and voice to the kernel community. The summ.it will offer an opportunity for end users to learn and interact with leaders from within the Linux community, including the highest level maintainers and developers. The inaugural summit will also give Linux community maintainers and developers direct access to knowledge sharing opportunities with the end users. The event will include Q&A sessions, one-on-one discussions, and presentations by some of the important names in the Linux community like Novell CEO Ron Hovsepian, and Paul Cormier, executive vice president and president, products and technologies, Red Hat.
