This is a GUI front end for primax_scan comfort only for the driver for some of the Primax scanners with the help of Linux. The main features of it are as follows: -This GUI will supply with all the characteristics required by the driver -non-realtime preview yet... Saving all the scanned images in TIFF (original from primax_scan, use GIMP or other program to convert it to other formats, converting several formats is not one goal of this program!) Selecting region to scan within the preview of window with the help of mouse -Tuning the contrast, brightness, gamma, resolution, compression, channels, port, speed of carriage and maximum. Optical resolution of the scanner also values -Warm up lamp for a user defined time -opens scanned image with your preferred photo editor –also calculating the file size –showing the size of selected area (in cm, inches, pixels).
