    Default Remove Ubuntu Kernels

I just recently downloaded Ubuntu 64 bit server edition from their website and copied it onto a cd ( i already have 32 bit xp) so i installed it but at the end of the installation i skipped the dns server etc apps and finished it for some reason and now i only have a kernel. i installed it again on another partition and then it was the kernel again..
So how do i delete these two os?

Install Ubuntu-Desktop-amd64 on top of it.

If by Kernel you mean you just get a command line log-in prompt, then welcome to the server edition; a graphical UI takes significant system resource, so servers rarely (if ever) use them.
