Thread: How to install zoneminder after i have download

I have already download the zoneminder but i do not make out how to set up as well as allow it work correctly ,can someone assist me ,I am new to Ubuntu .

You have to currently install the zoneminder by using the Ubuntu repositories Zoneminder into Ubuntu Universe repository so kindly allow them.

Kindly at first allow the universe repository:

Open System → Administration → Software sources → [Tab Ubuntu software]
enable "Community Maintained open source software (universe)"
Close as well as verify the repository reload.

After that unlock a Terminal from the menu Applications → Accessories → Terminal as well as type:

sudo aptitude update
sudo aptitude safe-upgrade
sudo aptitude install zoneminder

Provide your username along with password when demanded, if you don't notice anything when you type it, after that press the enter key.
