After the upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10 my PackardBell EasyNote laptop (AMD Turion 64x2) will not boot apart from in Recovery mode.

Normal powering up just loops round the Bios display along with Grub. Booting from Recovery mode leaves me at a Linux login - I have to login as well as execute "start" to find the Desktop.

When closing I have to carry out "shutdown".

Further issues are:-

- Mouse now refreshes fairly than smooth scrolls - this makes the screen very complex to understand.

- Screen savers have all moved out - I can't seem to find them anyplace
