I have tried to clean my system of 'extra' plugins that I supposed were stopping flash from operational as well as reinstall adobe flash. In the course an error sign popped up: 'The package 'adobe-flashplugin' is in a contradictory state as well as needs to be reinstalled but no files can be found for it.'

It alleged to go to package manager but if I try to open up synaptic package manager I find the similar message plus also: 'internal error opening cache (1).' When trying to eliminate or else reinstall throughout terminal just results in the similar message - E: The package adobe-flashplugin needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it.

I thought PC janitor may get rid of adobe so I can reinstall but when it tries to do so one more error message pops up: 'E:sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)'

Update manager also won't seem to do something until the trouble is determined but my attempts at both reinstalling as well as eliminating the flash plugin have been ineffective. Is this a bug? A corrupted file? Something else? I know it was most likely my own screw-up anywhere along the 'remove/reinstall' procedure but I feel like I'm going round in circles trying to resolve this! Please help!
