Thread: Ubuntu 9.10 - Cannot Download whatever thing

I am fresh to Ubuntu so excuse any unawareness I might display. When trying to download .deb software packages, for several reason they always not succeed. The failure constantly takes the form of a “Failed to Fetch" error. Such as, when trying to download XChat throughout Synaptic Package Manager:

This occurs also while downloading .deb packages through the browser also. Any solutions would be great.

Try downthemall add on extension in Firefox allow it download for you.... after that implement your deb packages.
