Once I installed UBUNTU 9.10 along with MYTH TV, I had extremely low sound output. With the volume complete up, I could hardly listen to something from my speakers. Plugging a headset into the speakers confirmed sound was coming all the way through. The PC has an ECS PT890T-A motherboard with integrated sound as well as detachable SATA hard drives. When plugged into this PC, my drive with UBUNTU 9.04 with the earlier version of MYTH TV has sufficient sound output to drive the speakers over room listening volume. I compared the audio settings among the two installs as well as confirmed MYTH audio was configured identically (with the exception of the new field “Pass-through output device:”). The settings for both systems are revealed under with the older MYTH settings on the [Left] with the equivalent new MYTH settings on the {Right} I also confirmed that I had the sound set to full up (System>Preferences>Sound) and the volume control on the panel @ 100%. Not confident if it is a UBUNTU or MYTH TV trouble. Music plays back lower under 9.10 than on 9.04 but it is loud as much as necessary to drive the speakers to a comfortable listening volume.
