Web streams (You Tube, et al) play cute fine in Firefox, even though the colour leaves something to be preferred. In Totem as well as VLC I find, from disc or else file, a very dim, roughly invisible picture. I can get a few idea of what is going on by re-adjusting the controls in VLC, but the picture is awfully unclear as well as discolored. Totem is a near-dead loss. Sound is very well in both.

This trouble, if I remember right, began after an update when I was still running 9.04 AMD64.
