Thread: How to install Samba

I have recently set upped Ubuntu 9.10 OS in my machine. How can I set up Samba in my system?

I have installed Samba from Synaptic Package Installer. But the program cannot be found anyplace. Please inform me what to do.

You don't run samba like you execute gedit, samba is a service.

You can put in shares by nautilus by right clicking them as well as selecting share. The file will then be shared as you desire.
