Thread: Ubuntu 8.04: Firefox 3.0.15 automatically closed

After the browser closes routinely, I tried to open it once more, it asked to "start new" or else "restores the earlier session". This seems to be a loop as when I click on to restore the previous session, it closes another time.

To remedy, I disabled network connection as well as logout as a desktop user. I login as user with administrator rights, totally removed as well as reinstall firefox by Synaptic Package Manager as well as logout. When I login as desktop user, I see the network connection is enabled but seems the browser is still very well at this end.

Is it the browser? Do I want to set up Firefox 3.5 as Mozilla website suggests? Sorry to say, I am no professional and any help how-to would be esteemed.

Otherwise is my Ubuntu hacked? (Hope not)

You alleged the browser is very well at present.

A site you opened was most likely crashing the browser, so restoring the browsing session made it load the page as well as crash once more. You only had to inform it to start a fresh session.

Installing Firefox 3.5 is a excellent thought however.
