Default How to Edit boot menu in Ubuntu 9.10

    Hi!

I required editing menu.lst for boot that used to be in /boot/grub dir in previous versions of Ubuntu. I can not locate it. Where is the file placed or else if the given name changed what is the file?

    Default

Ubuntu currently makes use of grub2 which uses /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Editing this file is useless as the file is generated by scripts as well as other config, you CAN edit the file but next time you install a innovative kernel, the change will be wiped, to make your changes everlasting you have to put in the settings you want in Grub2's scripts as well as config files so that when innovative kernels are installed you will not lose the settings.
