Now I got the Aspire netbook which is being pre-loaded with the latest Window7 OS. Would like to make out if it feasible to set up Ubuntu 9.10 netbook remix in similar with Window7 as dual boot?

Read from ubuntu community discussion that UNR installer will not partition the hard disk, clean the hard disk. If this is true? Or else, if work around for dual boot set up like the usual U9.01 or else U9.10?
